In an interview with Yahoo Sports, Marten de Roon expressed confidence in the group, highlighting the quality and cohesion of the roster. “This team is full of quality. No one puts themselves above the rest,” he said, emphasizing the lack of egos among the players.
De Roon’s words come amid a period of reflection for Roma following their recent collapse against Real Madrid. The team had shown glimpses of dominance but ultimately fell victim to a comeback, echoing a similar pattern from their match against Inter.
As discussed on today's episode of La Tripletta, Roma remains a perplexing force in Europe. Despite their struggles, they appear to be a step ahead of other Italian teams in continental competition. The bigger question now is whether they can maintain this level without succumbing to injuries, pressure, or poor game management.
